St. Kateri Academy Kindergarten Program Information
Our regular half day Kindergarten program offers 475 hours of instruction in the morning or afternoon. We also offer a Full Day Everyday program (dependent on registration numbers) with 950 hours of instruction and a Progressive Program (half day programming up until Spring Break and then all day programming until end of June).
Highlights of our program include:
AGE
*** NEW*** Alberta Education has changed the age of enrolment for Kindergarten starting the 2022-2024 School year. Children must be 5 yrs of age by Dec. 31/2023 to enrol. Click on the "Kindergarten Age Eligibility Calculator" to receive more information and to aid you in determining whether your child is old enough to attend kindergarten.*** NEW***
ECS FEES
General Registration Fees for the 2023-2024 school year
- HALF DAY - No fee
- FULL DAY - $325 month + lunch supervision fee. Children enrolled in Full Day programming attend school for the full day.
- PROGRESSIVE - $97.50/month or $325/month (April, May & June) + lunch supervision fee. Children enrolled in Progressive programming will attend half day kindergarten until spring break, after spring break your child will attend full days.
** The offering of Half Day PM, Full Day and Progressive programs is dependant upon enrolment and resources**
1st DAY of SCHOOL STAGGERED START
August 29 and 30, 2023. Your child’s first day of school will be provided at the end of June.
Child Care
McCauley Community After School Care Association provides Before and After School Care for students in Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 5.

Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) program offers learning opportunities in all areas of development. Led by certified teaching staff, educational assistants and specialized therapists, children of all abilities become confident learners. Your child will gain skills through play, inquiry, creativity, problem solving, social interaction as well as early literacy, language and numeracy activities.
Eligibility: Children attend the year prior to Kindergarten (Children eligible for PUF funding can attend up to two years prior to Kindergarten).
Additional programming, therapy, and support for English Language Learners (ELL) is available for eligible children.
